Drivers Installer for Microsoft Storage Spaces Controller If you don’t want to waste time on hunting after the needed driver for your PC, feel free to use a dedicated self-acting installer. It will select only qualified and updated drivers for all hardware parts all alone. The only thing I see under Storage controllers is 'Microsoft Storage Spaces Controller' which (surprise, surprise) has driver version 10.0.10586.0 and has no newer driver. However, I had forgotten to update the chipset drivers after the clean install.
Microsoft is set to release another fix for the Surface Pro 4 and Surface Book sometime this afternoon. The new driver addresses what is easily one of the top complaints about these devices (and any new Skylake laptop), which is the display driver crashing.
In the Microsoft support forum, Joe (MSFT) responded in numerous threads about the news.
The new driver will reportedly improve the situation for the following error:
'Display appears to hang, and then you will get a message that the display adapter has reset. Usually happens in certain scrolling situations on web pages.'
The problem is seen on more than just Microsoft's devices as new Lenovo, HP, and Dell laptops utilizing refreshed Intel Skylake processors also suffer from the same driver crashing. That leads us to believe this is both an OS and driver issue that Microsoft and Intel had to solve across the board.
Update: The new update is live under Windows Update! The Intel display driver is now at version 20.19.15.4326. We'll be looking out for any further changes once Microsoft posts the information.

Update 2: The following updates will be listed as 'System Firmware Update – 12/3/2015' or 'System Hardware Update – 12/3/2015' within the Windows Update History.
- HD Graphics 520 driver update (v20.19.15.4326) improves display stability.
- Surface Display Calibration driver update (v1.1.381.0) supports compatibility with the updated graphics driver.

IDE ATA/ATAPI Controller not starting in Windows 10
I've upgraded two computers at my house to Windows 10. Both have had much different results. My Windows 8 laptop upgraded easily and operates nicely with the update. My much faster Desktop went from Windows 7 to Windows 10 and is now super laggy and has been a horrible update. I upgraded both with existing (meaning I didn't do a full wipe and install...but the laptop had nearly nothing on it to begin with).
So I have been trying to figure out what my real problems were with the update on the Desktop (formerly Windows 7 and had tons of old apps, files, etc). I finally noticed that the IDE ATA/ATAPI controller ( which is an Intel (R) 6 Series/C200 Series Chipset Family 6 Port SATA AHCI Controller - 10C02) is not starting up. I figured it was an old driver, but it says it has the most recent driver when I tried that. I then tried to uninstall the driver and do a restart, but it still says it is not starting (I believe it installed the same driver again). So now I am not experienced enough to know what I should do next. I am figuring that this is just not as compatible with Windows 10 like it was identified and that I should go back to Windows 7...but I am past my 30 days at this point.
Anyone got any advice for me?
